Josh Vires was born and raised in Ada, Oklahoma. He attended Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Bible as well as a graduate degree in Ministry. While at FHU he met his wife Kimberly. After college, Josh served for 5 years in full time youth ministry in Houston, Texas and then spent two years preaching in northeast Arkansas. He came to work at Waynedale in August of 2018. Josh and Kimberly have three children, Baileigh (5), Canaan (2) and Janie (1). Josh is currently pursuing his PhD in Leadership Studies at Johnson University. In addition to his studies, Josh enjoys traveling with his family, golfing, fishing and Oklahoma Sooners football.
Josh's favorite verse is Ephesians 3:20-21.
"20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen."
